Started growing strawberries early May with 500 Albion; drip irrigation, plastic. Late June, they are starting to ripen and produce runners. Quite satisfied so far. It seems they need to be left to ripen completely to get really sweet, otherwise tangy in a pleasant way. Bird cover was essential, or else I didn't seem to get fully ripe berries among the earlier ones...

06/28/2021Excellent flavor, highly productive, very healthy plants with vigorous growing habit - A Lot to Love! We harvest daily and giving them to neighbors - rave reviews on the taste and quality. We add new beds every year with a 50/50 blend of loam and organic compost without any chemical fertilizers. Care includes hay mulch and watering as needed. Berry production is so high that we share with the chipmunks too.

02/07/2021Very impressed with these strawberries, they set fruit right into November in Central Maine, great flavor, texture and hardiness.

12/01/2020Only variety we will plant. Nice sized, DELICIOUS BERRIES! Oh! My! Goodness! These are so good! We are tripling our beds as we have so many people that want to buy from us. Note: these berries need more water and nutrients but are worth it. We have to SIDE DRESS with chelated iron in the spring and fall. Also, putting black plastic down around plants helps. Straw can carry disease unfortunately, but the plastic really makes a difference. We have berries from May into October.

09/12/2018I ordered 25 of these Albion plants in july. None of them grew. I have given up hope for them. I hope tha the Nourse Farms can refunf the $13 that I paid for them. The Galetta plants that I ordered at the same time are growing fine.

Hope that Nourse Farms can make a refund.

08/22/2018Plants didn’t seem as robust as I anticipated. Weather may have played a factor. A few blossoms per plant which hopefully will turn into red berries to feed the pesky chipmunk!
