Eros ( Plant Patent Pending )

Horticulture Research International in East Malling, England released this Allstar hybrid. Eros has been in U.S. trials for four years and has shown improved color and fruit firmness over Allstar. Our customer survey results indicate that, depending on the site, Eros fruits midseason to late-midseason - most commonly, at the same time as Jewel. The berries are bright red in color, large, with a blocky shape, with above-average flavor and good fruit firmness. Eros also performs well in plasticulture and in the matted-row system. Vigorous, resistant to red stele, and tolerant of leaf diseases. An excellent choice where fruit firmness, size and extension of the season are required.
