Patriot is an early variety released by the University of Maine, where growing seasons are short and winter hardiness is a must. This variety is vigorous and grows upright to a height of 4–6 feet. Patriot adapts to many different soil types and has performed better in heavier soil than some other varieties. The fruit is large and has very good flavor.

We are on the border of zones 4 & 5. The plants always arrive on time and in very good condition. Some of our plants are 10 years old and produce the biggest berries we grow. They are sweet and juicy and freeze well for that wonderful taste of summer pie in January!

Planted them this past Spring and (believe it or not) they already produced a few berries! They are growing beautifully. This is the first time ordering from Nourse Farms and I will be ordering again next year.
