This heirloom-quality variety was released from the Cornell Small Fruit Breeding Program in Geneva, New York. This black raspberry plant is a high-producing early variety whose upright growth and cluster formation make its berries very easy to pick. So vigorous, these canes will extend 12-15 ft. if not pruned. Definitely need to follow growers' advice for productive, tasty fruit.

We bought these and 3 other varieties in the spring of 2021. The plugs arrived in great shape. They did well growing their first summer. The true treat came July 4, 2022 when I began picking an amazing amount of flavorful and firm berries! Highly recommend this variety!

I'm pleased with the amount of sweet dark raspberries that I have been getting from these canes. Easy to pick. I would recommend them to anyone.

Last year was the 3rd year for my berries and we had a bumper crop! I was able to share fresh berries with my neighbors and friends while still having all we could eat. Great flavor! Nourse always has sent top plants that have done exceptionally well.

I planted 5 of these three years ago. I have more berries than I can handle! Plump, sweet and juicy. This year I’ve already canned 100 4 oz jars of jam, made 4 pies and frozen enough for 4 more pies and there’s still a ton of berries ripening on the bushes. I had to build a sturdy trellis since these plants root anywhere they touch the ground.

I love these berries! Productive, easy to pick, very flavorful. Berries hold up, are not as soft as the red raspberries I have.
