Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Plant Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience required.
• Experience: 7+ years of progressive and hands-on experience in soil-based propagation and farm management, including leadership experience.

As a Greenhouse Grower Intern, you’ll become part of a legacy rooted in excellence and contribute to the daily operations that ensure our plants thrive from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

• Irrigation & System Monitoring:
  Learn and assist with greenhouse and field equipment, including injection systems and computer-controlled irrigation technologies that manage crop hydration and nutrient delivery.
•  Nutrient Testing:
  Participate in testing fertilizer and pH levels. Help maintain logs and track data to support informed growing decisions, including any corrective actions needed.
• Crop Scouting:
  Walk crop areas to observe plant health, identify signs of stress or insect presence, and report issues to the growing team.
• Record Keeping:
  Maintain detailed records on crop health, irrigation cycles, and test results to support consistent, high-quality production.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Interest or academic background in horticulture, plant science, agriculture, or a related field
• Willingness to work with hands-on equipment and learn greenhouse technologies
• Strong attention to detail and observation skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research & Lead Generation

• Analyze competitor activity, regional trends, and industry opportunities in fruit propagation.
• Identify emerging markets and target growers by crop, geography, and size.
• Monitor trade shows, publications, and grower associations for actionable leads.
• Leverage AI tools for predictive lead scoring and market segmentation insights.

CRM & Data Management

• Research, update, and enrich partial or outdated contact records in our CRM system.
• Tag, segment, and organize data to support focused outbound campaigns.
• Identify decision-makers and key influencers across potential accounts.
• Assist in the deployment of AI-based enrichment platforms (to improve CRM accuracy and contact targeting.
• Support implementation of AI-based workflow automations and reporting dashboards.

Customer Communication Analysis

• Review recorded calls and call logs to identify recurring customer needs and common concerns.
• Evaluate tone, language, and alignment with our brand voice across communications.
• Compile service team feedback to identify training opportunities and messaging improvements.
• Utilize AI tools for sentiment analysis, pattern recognition, and keyword trend extraction.

 Sales & Admin Support

• Prepare sales team members with background research on target accounts.
• Draft and test outreach messaging across email, LinkedIn, and phone.
• Assist with mailing confirmations/invoices, follow-up calls for orders and payments, and general admin tasks 
• Support the integration of AI-generated content and dynamic messaging frameworks to improve outreach effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an Associates or Bachelor’s program (Business, Marketing, Agriculture, Communications, or related)
• Strong research, writing, and critical thinking skills; excellent attention to detail
• Proficient with Excel, Google Sheets, LinkedIn, and web-based research – CRM usage a plus
• Interest or experience in AI tools, automation platforms, or data-driven systems is a strong bonus
• Communicating professionally by phone & email and self-motivated, dependable, & able to work independently
