"Wonderful strawberry flavor" is Earliglow's trademark.

This variety produces fruit that has a firm, glossy skin, firm flesh, and medium size. Its sweet flavor makes the variety excellent for fresh eating and freezing. Fruit size tends to decrease as the season progresses. Earliglow plants are very vigorous and runner well. This variety has good resistance to red stele and intermediate resistance to Verticillium wilt. Recommended for beginners.

We planted 25 of these earlier last spring, so this is their second year of harvesting. WOW!! They sure produce a lot! Very pleased with the flavor and earlier harvest (harvesting began last week, so that was just before May 15th). Lots of runners to share with friends &/or make more beds.
We cover the beds with a nylon netting to keep the birds out, add compost, and of course, straw to keep the berries out of the mud. We were also sure to properly care for the beds in the fall and winter. [We've been growing strawberries for several years, but decided to start new at the new property]
The ONLY reason for 4 stars instead of 5: We also planted 25 Flavorfest at the same time - they are classified as "large" while these (Earliglow) are "Small/Medium" ... the larger berries are definitely easier to harvest, so I personally would favor the Flavorfest for that reason alone. They both taste excellent.
Harvest totals so far this year: for BOTH varieties, in 9 days total we've harvested just over 40 pounds. WOWZERS. Most of that has been from the Earliglow since they were ready to harvest about a week before the Flavorfest.
Preserving: so far I've been freezing AND freeze drying. Both methods work great for both varieties we have.
Thanks for the great products! We are very pleased with all of our purchases.

Order the plants to come on April 1 show up on that date! The plants were in great shape, much better than the one from Gurneys!! At Blue Eye Strawberries we raise thousands of Strawberries and about six different variety I would say that the plants from Nourse Farms came in the(best shape)of all the companies we buy from!!

I ordered Earliglow last season so this is the first season of production from them. So far they overwintered fine even in the record lows and ive gotten plenty of delicious berries. Definitely a great variety to have.

Vigorous plants. Description and pix all true to my experience except taste, which is not very sweet and somewhat bland. Pleased with production, disappointed with taste.

These berries are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been growing berries for 12 years and I only buy early grow and I only buy from Nourse Farms. A commercial farmer where I used to take my children picking many many years ago told me about Nourse farms and she told me Early Glow were the best berries. LOVE THEM!!!!!
