Position Summary:
Nourse Farms is a leading player in the plant propagation industry, known for our commitment to excellence in providing high-quality plant stock. Nourse Farms is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our facility in Whately, MA Sales and Customer Service team to amplify revenue growth and consistently achieve sales goals and KPIs. You will oversee the Sales and Customer Service Manager, setting strategic sales directions and closely monitoring performance indicators. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations and effective communication within the department and across the organization.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales objectives, revenue benchmarks, and meet established KPIs.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the Sales team to drive optimal performance.
- Build and strengthen relationships with key customers, distributors, and partners to drive sales momentum.
- Analyze market dynamics, customer preferences, and competitor strategies to uncover fresh business opportunities and maintain a competitive stance.
- Collaborate with the marketing and operations teams to align sales initiatives with the company's overarching objectives.
- Compile and present sales predictions, financial plans, and reports for top-tier management review.
- Craft and present influential sales pitches, negotiate contracts, and finalize agreements with prospective clients.
- Offer insightful feedback to the management team regarding market trends, customer responses, and sales metrics.
- Stay informed about industry shifts, best practices, and innovative technologies to constantly refine sales approaches and techniques.
- Represent Nourse Farms at all relevant industry trade shows and exhibitions.
- Design and present comprehensive quarterly presentations to stakeholders.
- Provide consistent reports on weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPIs, ensuring goal alignment.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, agriculture, or a related field.
- MBA or advanced degree is highly preferred.
- 10+ years in sales, specifically within the agricultural or fresh produce, with a proven track record of sales successes.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in building and cultivating relationships with various stakeholders.
- Analytical and strategic thinking, combined with the capability to formulate and execute effective sales strategies.
- Deep knowledge of market analytics, sales evaluations, and forecasting techniques.
- Familiarity with small fruit plants and the broader agricultural landscape.
- Willingness to travel extensively for client engagements and industry events.
